Its mission is “to promote the dignity and wellness of adults, families, youth and children impacted by HIV/AIDS through quality support and prevention services so they may live healthy lives.”
Full Circle Meals is a program that enables over 16,000 meals to be provided to shut-ins affected by AIDS living in Hampton Roads. Each month, one of four teams of five to eight people from All Saints’ prepares, and freezes 80-90 meals which are then transported by a church volunteer to a central distribution point for delivery to those in need. Our team leaders at All Saints’ are Jan Tempest (481-5275) and Buddy Redfearn (621-1146). Three teams meet in the evening and one team meets during the day. In joining a team, you participate in meal preparation only three times a year.
Additionally each fall, All Saints’ Hosts “Dinner Is Served” as a participating fundraising entity. The premise is a simple one. A pot luck supper is hosted by one of our parish families on our behalf of ACCESS and in exchange for dinner, drinks and conversation, donations are collected to support our programs and families. ACCESS closes the evening with a common dessert and champagne reception in Norfolk for those who are interested.
